The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, under the musical direction of José-Luis Novo, announces auditions for the following positions on the dates below:

Associate Principal Bass and Section Bass - Tuesday April 18, 2017
Per Service fee for 2017-2018 is $110.83 for Associate Principal and $105.03 for Section.
Deadline for resumes postmarked by March 28, 2017

Assistant Concertmaster, Associate Principal Violin 2, Section Violin 1 & 2 – Wednesday April 26, 2017
Per Service fee for 2017-2018 is $107.93 for Assistant Concertmaster, $110.83 for Associate Principal Violin 2, and $105.03 for Section Violin.
Deadline for resumes postmarked by March 28, 2017

Associate Principal Cello and Section Cello - Tuesday May 16, 2017
Per Service fee for 2017-2018 is $110.83 for Associate Principal, and $105.03 for Section.
Deadline for resumes postmarked by April 25, 2017

Qualified candidates should send a cover letter stating the position(s) desired (note in the letter if you would like to be considered for one or more of the positions), along with a resume and a $40 refundable deposit check*, made out to Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, to:

More information, including specific audition times, will follow upon receipt of resume, cover letter and audition deposit.  Not including these three items will delay processing of your application.  Please make sure your current address, cell phone number, and e-mail address are on your resume and cover letter.  Application materials sent via email will not be considered.

*You will receive your audition deposit back on the day of the audition.  A candidate will also receive their deposit back if canceling by 5:00pm on the postmark deadline.  Your check will be deposited if you cancel after this date.

For those applying from out of state, please know that the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra is a per service orchestra.  We are not a full time orchestra and do not offer travel reimbursement or lodging during concert weeks.  Foreign candidates need to have the proper visa in place in order to work and be paid by the Annapolis Symphony.  The winner of the audition will be required to join the Musicians’ Association of Metropolitan Baltimore, Local 40-543 even if you are a member of another Local.
