Sarah Hart, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, is an active chamber musician, soloist, and educator in the Washington, D.C. area. Ms. Hart has performed at the White House with “The President’s Own” U.S. Marine Chamber Orchestra and at the Kennedy Center with the National Symphony Orchestra, as well as abroad in Japan with the Pacific Music Festival and in Europe with the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana. Ms. Hart has been featured as a soloist with “The President’s Own” U.S. Marine Chamber Orchestra and frequently appears on the Marine Chamber Ensembles series.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri in 2006, Ms. Hart pursued graduate studies in music. She received her Master of Music degree in Viola from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music where she studied with Atar Arad, formerly of the Cleveland Quartet, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Maryland in College Park with Dan Foster, Principal Violist of the National Symphony Orchestra. An active string educator, Ms. Hart maintains a private violin and viola studio in Hyattsville, Maryland where she resides with her husband, Nicholas Hart.
