What city are you living in now? Baltimore, MD
Where did you study? I earned my Bachelor of Music at the Cleveland Institute of Music and my Masters of Music at Peabody Conservatory of Music.
What is your favorite piece of music? Currently, I am split between two pieces for double bass “Chorale” by Nicholas Walker, and “Double Bass Sonata in E minor” by Vilmos Montag.
What do you enjoy in your spare time? I spend time with my dog Frankie and playing Settlers of Catan with my friends.
What is your fondest Annapolis Symphony memory? When we played Gershwin’s piano concerto in 2019 and being a part of Stewart Goodyear’s energy and performance.
Patrick Raynard joined the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra in 2018 as a member of the bass section, and became principal bass in 2023. He received a Masters of Music from the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music. He plays and teaches throughout the Baltimore-Washington area. He has a passion for HIP (historical informed performance) music and contemporary music. When performing he seeks to bring out the character in the music he performs. His favorite hobbies are restoring and cooking with cast iron cookware, as well as spending time with his dog Frankie.
