What is your favorite piece of music? Telemann Paris Quartets

What do you enjoy in your spare time? Traveling, playing early music, quilting, raising kids and Standard Poodles, camping, and sailing.

What is your fondest Annapolis Symphony memory? Playing in the amazing concert hall in Spain on our 2022 Tour! Performing with amazing soloists like James Ehnes, Peter Serkin, Olga Kern, Pascal Rogé, Noah Bendix-Balgley, and Pepe Romeo.

 

Genevieve Eichman holds a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from The Peabody Conservatory of Music. While at Peabody she studied with Robert Willoughby, considered by many to be the “American Grand Master of the Flute” (Flute Magazine, UK). A graduate of Trinity University of San Antonio, Texas, Ms. Eichman completed part of her undergraduate study in Europe with Maxence Larrieu (Geneva Conservatory) and Michel Debost and Kathy Chastain (Paris Conservatory).

Her principal traverso teachers are François Lazarevitch, Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien), Gwyn Roberts (Tempeste di Mare), and New York-based David Ross. She has participated in early music workshops in France, Nova Scotia, and the United States.

Ms. Eichman maintains a thriving flute studio in Ellicott City, coaching some of the area’s finest flute students in both solo and chamber music repertoire.
