Vaccination and Mask Policy

Since the pandemic began in early 2020, the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra has successfully and consistently taken steps to ensure health and safety. As we approach our 60th Anniversary season and the return to in-person performances we will continue to do so. All ASO staff and musicians are fully vaccinated. The ASO will also require all audience members to show proof of vaccination and to wear masks for all our indoor concerts at Maryland Hall, until further notice.

The health and safety of our family of musicians, staff, board, and audience is our highest priority. We want everyone to feel comfortable attending our performances, knowing that 100% of the people in the venue are vaccinated and masked, providing the best possible protection.

Prior to arriving at the theatre for your selected performance, we recommend downloading the Clear app for your smartphone and pre-loading your vaccination status for the fastest entry time.

Scan the QR code below with your smartphone’s camera app and click the link it generates to be taken to the download page for the Clear app. Once downloaded, you need to “Add My Vaccination” to the “Digital vaccine card” which will confirm your identity through photo ID and verify your vaccination status through scanning your physical card or confirming with your healthcare provider.

In the app, do NOT click “Create Your Health Pass”, which is the first thing at the top. You need to scroll down to the “Digital vaccine card”. Please watch this instructional video if you have questions on how to add your vaccination card to the Clear app.

If you have pre-loaded your vaccination status through the Clear app, all you will need to do is pull it up on your phone when you arrive and show us prior to entering the theatre. You can also bring your physical vaccination card with you. If you bring your card please note that we will also ask to see your photo ID to confirm your identity. We will NOT be allowing photos of your vaccination card as a valid confirmation of vaccination status.

You will receive a wristband after your vaccination status has been confirmed, providing peace of mind for all patrons in the theatre. You will need to show proof of vaccination every time you attend an Annapolis Symphony Orchestra concert until further notice.

Please wear your mask as you arrive in close proximity to others even outside the building and continue to wear them throughout the event. Masks must cover the nose and mouth, fit securely under the chin, and fit snugly around the sides of your face.

We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to showtime for your comfort and ease. We will maintain recommended social distancing guidelines and do our best to seat everyone as quickly as possible.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding in following our COVID-19 Safety Protocols, as your safety and comfort are our #1 priority. If you have any questions regarding any of this information please email us or give us a call at 410-263-0907.
