Play it Forward

The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) have partnered to collect your old instruments and get them into the hands of students that need them.

AACPS experts will triage instruments, repair when appropriate, and put them into the hands of eager students!

How can I donate my instrument to Play it Forward?

You can drop off your instrument(s) at the Annapolis Symphony Office located in Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts (801 Chase Street, Annapolis, MD 21401)

Will I receive a donation letter for my tax purposes?

Yes. At the time of instrument donation, you will receive a blank tax-deductible letter. The Symphony, according to IRS regulations, is not allowed to assign a value to donated instruments. If you are unsure of your instruments’ value, you may have it appraised by a local music shop before donating.
