Where did you study? I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from Michigan State University & also studied bass with Harold Robinson, Principal Bass of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
What is your favorite piece of music? Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony is my favorite piece of music to play with the orchestra: the basses & celli get to play the dramatic recitative & the last movement with the chorus is always very uplifting.
What do you enjoy in your spare time? I enjoy playing piano & bowling in several leagues in my spare time.
What is your fondest Annapolis Symphony memory? My fondest ASO memory was several years ago when we played a concert at Strathmore: an audience member came up to the stage after the concert when I was packing up my bass & said that they had heard the Santa Cecilia Orchestra in Rome & that we sounded better!
