What do you enjoy in your spare time? I enjoy CrossFit, mountain biking and cycling, roasting brewing and drinking coffee, DIY renovation, motorcycle camping and most importantly spending precious time with my family.

What is your fondest Annapolis Symphony memory? Mahler 1 in Strathmore

 

Staff Sergeant Drew Fremder joined The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” Ceremonial Band in August of 2013. Appointed Third Trumpet with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra also in 2013, Drew’s musical beginnings are rooted in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Receiving his bachelors in Music Performance from Indiana University in 2011 as a Jacobs Scholar, Drew headed south to complete his Masters from Baylor University in the spring of 2013, receiving the Larry Vanlandingham Outstanding Graduate Student Award. As a chamber musician, Drew and the Baylor University Trumpet Ensemble advanced to the National Trumpet Competition finals twice, earning 1st place in the spring of 2013.

An avid freelancer and passionate studio musician, Drew has recorded on several A-list Christian records for Provident Label Group LLC, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, including Tenth Avenue North and Grammy Award winning artist, Chris Tomlin.

While at Baylor University, Drew played with the Waco Symphony Orchestra, Imperial Brass, and the Dallas Wind Symphony as well as attending the Brevard Music Festival in 2012. His primary teachers include Mark Niehaus, John Rommel, Wiff Rudd, Mark Schubert, Jeff Nelsen and Mark Hughes.
