What is your favorite piece of music? Anything that takes you to another mood, place, and time.

What do you enjoy in your spare time? Cycle on my custom steel frame bicycle, hike with two little terriers, float in water, make kombucha and fermented foods, watch documentaries.

What is your fondest Annapolis Symphony memory?  Every concert!

Katherine Zahradnik is a recent graduate from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University, where she earned her Graduate Performance Diploma in 2007 and Bachelor of Music degree in 2005. Her studies on the viola have been with Stephen Wyrczynski of the Philadelphia Orchestra as well as Victoria Chiang, Roberto Díaz, and Byrnina Socolofsky. She has spent three summers at the Aspen Music Festival and also attended the Brevard Music Festival for their Advanced Chamber Music program. Kate is currently a member of the Annapolis, Haddonfield, and Allentown Symphonies, and has also performed with the Virginia, Richmond, and Lancaster Symphonies. She lives in downtown Baltimore.
