WEATHER UPDATE
Unfortunately, due to weather-related closures, we are unable to present this weekend’s Annapolis Symphony Orchestra concerts at Maryland Hall. However, The Music Center at Strathmore is open and operational and we will move forward with our Sunday matinee performance of “Legends “with soprano Christine Goerke.
Strathmore offers free covered garage parking, a fully covered walkway into the hall from the garage, and a charming café just outside the auditorium. After so many days of snow and ice, we hope you’ll consider joining us Sunday for a wonderful afternoon surrounded by friends, fellow music lovers, and extraordinary live music.
Please keep an eye on your inbox, our website, and/or our social media. If the weather changes significantly between now and Sunday morning, we may have to cancel our concert at Strathmore, and we will update ticket holders through these channels. In the meantime, you can stay in a musical mood with our Spotify channel.
Thank you for your patience, your care, and your continued support of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra.💙

MUSIC PROGRAM
A program of legendary figures—both real and imagined—unfolds in an unforgettable evening of orchestral storytelling. The concert opens with timeless operatic works that stir the soul and set the stage for what’s to come.
Soprano Christine Goerke is one of the most distinguished sopranos of her generation. She has appeared on the stages of the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Paris Opera, Teatro alla Scala, and Lyric Opera of Chicago, among many others. Goerke will perform Richard Strauss Vier letzte Lieder (Four Last Songs).
Next is Strauss’ Don Juan, a fiery and romantic symphonic poem that showcases the brilliance, precision, and expressive range of the ASO’s celebrated string sections. The evening reaches its finale with Copland’s iconic suite from Billy the Kid—a bold, distinctly American composition.
Join us for a free pre-concert lecture with Jonathan Palevsky in the Maryland Hall Main Auditorium at 6:30pm, open to all ticket holders.
